The Vancouver Region
Langley is part of the Lower Mainland, a name used to describe the area of Vancouver and the Fraser Valley or the metropolis area of Vancouver.
Routes from Langley consist of:
Highway #1 which runs west through Surrey, Coquiltam, Burnaby to Vancouver or east through Abbotsford and eventually Newfoundland.
The Fraser Highway cuts through central Langley and runs west through Surrey to the Patullo Bridge and on to New Westminster, Burnaby and Vancouver. The Fraser Highway also connects to the start of the Skytrain Rapid Transit System leading from Surrey into Vancouver.
Heading east along the Fraser Highway leads through Aldergrove and out to Abbotsford.
Highway #10 runs from the Highway #1 at 232nd Street, down into Langley centre and then west through Surrey and Delta to Ladner.
From South Langley 32nd Avenue heads west to Highway #99 which connects to the US Border and runs north to Richmond and Vancouver.
Also in South Langley, 16th Avenue connects west to White Rock.
Border crossings into the United States can be found at the south ends of 176th Street and 264th Street.
